  • Course Highlights:
    • All courses are provided in lecture format by your instructor, live and in real-time, via audio-web conferencing.
    • Percentage of Total Grade. The lecture portion of the program represents 10% of the total grade.
  • Experiential Project Highlights:
    • There is no substitute for doing. Each experiential project deals with a real and specific virtual organization management issue at VOMI; and is designed to allow you to develop self-efficacy [and] competence in the subject matter discussed.
    • Percentage of Total Grade. The experiential portion of the program represents 30% of the total grade.
  • Practicum Highlights:
    • There is no substitute for doing. Upon completion of all courses and prior graduation, you will conduct a combined total of 4 virtual organization seminars, webinars or onsite training sessions. You are required to devote a minimum amount of 24 hours toward the 4 practicums. Your final grade will reflect your presentation performance at these events.
    • Percentage of Total Grade. The practicum portion of the program represents 10% of the total grade.
  • VOMI Internship Highlights:
    • There is no substitute for doing. Upon completion of all courses, you will participate in an internship program designed to reinforce the virtual organization management training skills you acquired and developed during your training. You are required to devote a minimum amount of 128 hours (min 16 hours per week) toward this internship.
    • Internship Period.     From March 23 - June 2, 2011.
    • Percentage of Total Grade.     The internship portion of the program represents 50% of the total grade.

VOMC Practicums
  • There is no substitute for doing. Upon completion of all courses and prior graduation, you will conduct, under your instructor's supervision, a combined total of 4 virtual organization seminars, webinars or onsite training sessions. You are required to devote a minimum amount of 24 hours toward the 4 practicums. Your final grade will reflect your presentation performance at these events.

VOMI Internship
  • There is no substitute for doing. Upon completion of all courses, you will participate in an internship program designed to reinforce the virtual organization management training skills you learned and developed during your training. You are required to devote a minimum amount of 128 hours (min 16 hours per week) toward this internship.
  • Summary of Internship Requirements:

    • Internship Hours:     128 hours. A minimum of 16 hours per week is required.
    • Internship Period:     March 23 - June 2, 2011. Internship hours should be completed by June 2, 2011 in order to graduate and obtain the VOMC designation.
