VOMI Master Designation Program & VOMI Designation Program
Each applicant must have successfully completed the following:
Phase I:
- An undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree program at an accredited U.S. college/university or its equivalent; or a VOMI Designation Program; or a VOMI Certificate Program; or a minimum 5 years of middle management or executive management level experience for the VOMI Master Designation Program or a minimum of 2 years for the VOMI Designation Program.
- Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) exam taken in 2000 or later; or a minimum 5 years of middle management or executive management level experience for the VOMI Master Designation Program or a minimum of 2 years for the VOMI Designation Program.
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) taken in 2007 or later is required for international applicants who attended a non-English-speaking undergraduate university for more than 2 years. This requirement may be waived for applicants who have worked for a minimum of 5 years in an English-speaking environment for a US organization or other English-speaking employer.
Phase II:
Submit an Online Application which includes the following:
- Current resume or curriculum vitae
- Responses to all 4 application essay questions
- Three recommendations - 2 professional and 1 personal - which must be submitted online
- Self-reported transcripts from all undergraduate, graduate, and advanced graduate academic institutions attended on either a part-time or full-time basis
- GMAT scores from an exam taken in 2000 or later if you are a VOMI Master Designation applicant lacking a minimum 5 years of middle management or executive management level experience; or a minimum of 2 years if you are a VOMI Designation applicant.
- TOEFL or IELTS score, if applicable, from a test taken in 2007 or later.
- Signed VOMI A Priori Ethical Values statement
- Signed Application Certification Statement
- Nonrefundable US $100 application fee paid online by credit card only. * This fee is waived for all Joseph A. Coupet, Sr. Scholarship recipients and will be refunded upon admission and enrollment. You can apply for financial aid only after admission and enrollment.
An interview will be scheduled for all VOMI Master Designation applicants. With respect to VOMI Designation applicants, an interview is scheduled at the discretion of the VOMI Admissions Board and by invitation only, however, once invited, the applicant must attend in order to complete the application process.
For All International Applicants
VOMI is a 100% virtual organization institute; welcomes students from all over the globe; and uses the same admission criteria used to evaluate US citizens for all international applicants. All application materials, including transcripts and recommendations, must be in English and submitted online.Academic Requirements
An international applicant is required to hold a college or university degree equivalent to a four-year American baccalaureate degree if lacking the minimum number of years of experience outlined in Phase I. A complete listing of all post-secondary educational institutions attended and received a degree from, including technical and professional schools, should be on the application form. This includes the complete, formal names of these institutions and the title of any diploma or degree earned.
Transcripts
When self-reporting transcripts for the admission application, all course names must be translated into English. If admitted to Virtual Organization Management Institute, you will be required to provide, at your expense, to World Education Services (WES), a third-party international degree verification agency, an official paper transcript sent directly from each college or university attended. If available, your school should send a transcript in English along with the original language document. VOMI reserves the right to withdraw any offer of admission if there is a discrepancy between the official transcript and the self-reported transcript.TOEFL/TWE and IELTS
The VOMI Master Designation Program is a very engaging and demanding learning experience that requires a great deal of public speaking, group discussions, brainstorming sessions, and research. In order to succeed, students must be highly proficient in written and oral English. The same is true for the VOMI Designation Program
Therefore, all international candidates for both the VOMI Master Designation Program and the VOMI Designation Program must abide by the following requirements:
- Candidates who received their bachelor's degree from an English-speaking university are not required to take the TOEFL/TWE or IELTS.
- Candidates who received their bachelor's degree from a non-English-speaking university are required to take either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and/or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) if they do not meet the minimum of 5 years work experience in an English-speaking environment for a US organization or other English-speaking employer.
- Candidates who received a master's or Ph.D. degree from an English-speaking university are strongly encouraged to submit the TOEFL and/or IELTS if they do not meet the minimum of 5 years work experience in an English-speaking environment for a US organization or other English-speaking employer.
- Test scores prior to 2007 will not be accepted.
- The VOMI Admissions Board [strongly discourages ] any candidate with a TOEFL score lower than 267 on the CBT or 109 on the IBT from applying. Therefore, do not submit your admission application until you have at least received your unofficial test scores since both overall and component test scores must be reported on the application form.
- All applicants must request that ETS (for the TOEFL) and/or IELTS send official copies of their scores to VOMI online.

Phase III:
Application Deadlines for the following VOMI Program Classes starting on September 7, 2010:
- VOMI Master Designation Program Class of 2012 (2-year program): June 30, 2010
